To the digital age

We're still out of 7"s but we've got the digital downloads up on iTunes. Thanks to all who have been at our past few shows and those who have bought merch. We're going to be doing shirts soon, promise. Dec 28th, we'll be playing at Gallery 5 with Lemuria and it'll be the official release of the 7", so come out and watch.

Fest ruled so much. Fun to be outta town to play a show. Lots of friends were there to support us. We had a great time, thanks to Curtis for the opportunity to have fun.

We're currently out of seven inches...at least the test pressing. We should be getting the real deal shortly.

We may have a metric ass ton of shows this month so keep up. Check the myspace for frequent updates.

We have two more shows in November, back-to-back, on the 29th and 30th. More info as I get it.

Show Saturday was really sweet. Coald Toast killed it, as well as Jungle Beat. Actually everyone there killed it. Great show. Next show is September 5th.

Bandname, Kite Party, Fine Lines, and we. Show is at "The Clubhouse", which I'm not sure where that is, but I'm sure it'll be easy to find out. Starts at 9pm.

Recording went well. It's all done and should be out before The Fest. We'll see.

The Philly Show

philadelphia, pa @ garageland (7th and mifflin s. philly)
6PM - $5 sugg. donations

I'm stoked. We're stoked. GET STOKED!

Wish us luck

Going into the studio tomorrow. Leaving for Philly tonight. Should be exciting.

Two songs should be enough for you right? One song is two songs...so it's like three. I'm excited. I'm excited. I'm excited. Playing a show in Philly Monday. Have no clue where, but I know Catalyst are playing. I'll get my copy of that new jam, Swallow Your Teeth, also recorded by Steve Roche.

The new Star Trek film was great!

Time to record again

Hope everyone's enjoying the EP, if you don't have one...we'll have a show soon and have some more. If you know someone that has one, cop that disc!

We've not had time to play a show, reason being, we're recording yet again. This time all new jams, hopefully. We've finished one song and almost another. We're torn between writing a third or redoing a song. 7 inches of wax are a whole different realm to work within.

We're recording the 15th with Steve Roche in Philly. He did the new Catalyst album, which kicks fucking hard. He's also done oodles of others. Co-founder of Level Plane Records and cured cancer. The recording will be out sometime next year I believe. Thanks again to Curtis of Rorschach Records for putting it out.

Thanks friends for coming out tonight. Stubbs and I made a batch of twenty eps, last minute. I don't even think it's the final mix, but it was long overdue to give people something. Thanks to you who bought one so that we are able to buy materials to have more for others. In the meantime, help out and burn some...perhaps a song on a sweet-summer-memory mix cd.

Looks like we're heading up north sometime next month. NY, PA, and DC seems to be all I know thus far. We'll be recording amidst the trip. Curtis from Rorschach Records shall be putting a 7" out of new jams, out December. Starting to work on t-shirts and a screen for the ep we handed out today.
If you're curious about track listing:

Field Day - Barbie with Gun Rouge Squadron
3.Eat it Jon eat it
4.Biscuits and Gravy
5.Pork and Beans

A job well done

We finished recording with Tim of Double O Records. Sounds wonderful. We probably won't have a cd for you Wednesday, however, if you want to listen to it, that can happen. What's even more exciting is that we're recording again in less than a month. I believe we'll be playing a show in New York City as well. Self-management isn't really our strength as a band, so I'm not really able to give any details, since I've not been told any.

Show is this Wednesday @ Nara Sushi. Starts at 10 and we'll probably be first or second so get there on time.

Good news everyone

We're going to have music for you to take home! We'll be recording next week in VA Beach and if we're lucky have some cdr-s to give out by the 15th. That show is with Tiger Jaw, Black Powder, Kite Party, and Snowing @ Nara Sushi. I imagine that show will start promptly since there are a lot of bands.

Then, next month, we'll be recording with Steve Roche (of Off Minor) that will be put out on Rorschach Records. Probably being released at the end of the year but maybe we'll throw a song or two on the cdr-s in the meanwhile.

We're playing the Fest in Florida this Halloween, so the next couple months shall be fun. We need to get some merch going so if you have any art you'd like to submit, that'd be outstanding. Watch out for the Field Day polos.

Happy Independence Day and treat each other well.

In other news show the 16th should be pretty sweet @ Nara Sushi. 5 bucks and starts at 10.

We're also no longer playing the show at the Bike Lot Sunday, but ya'll should still come out and see off Antlers and Brainworms.

A tour

We've been a bit inactive on account of Kyler losing some index finger. He's recovered for the most part and we are writing. We've just about finished a set for the tour we're doing at the end of the month with Hail Hydra. I'm not sure of the dates or locations but as I know I'll let you know. I believe we'll have some merch of some sort to sell as well. Shirts, maybe stickers...dunno.

We have two shows before tour. May 16th @ Nara w/Mouthbreather and May 19th @ the Bike Lot with Antlers and Ultra Dolphins.

April 29th w/Tera Melos on Hell Block

Show tonight

We're playing Turboslut's last show. Should be way sweet! Sweat Lodge and Sinola are on the bill as well. Starts at 10 as most Nara show's do. Going to be epic.

We're playing a benefit on the 9th of April for our friends who lost their homes recently. A fire broke, but luckily no person was injured.

We'll be playing with Wanli, and The Gagged, both are dear friends of mine, so I'm really excited.

That's a spicy meatball

Finished the live recording with Stephen from Black Powder. I'm not sure what we'll do with it, but we do have a song up on the myspace. We have a show on the 4th of March with O, Pioneers, Botox Party, and El Zombie @ the Czar. Shouldn't be more than 5 bucks. Starts at 9.

I think we're going to work on the material we have and work out some rough edges. Then another recording session, then a release. Maybe we'll have another song or two by then. Maybe some t-shirts. I've always been horrible at gettin' merch for bands. I'll have some handmade patches at the show on the 4th, handmade and free.

Sunday, February 22, 2009

Hi friends

We recorded some really rough stuff today. Went really well. Should be finished tomorrow. We shall have some for the shows coming up. We have a few coming up back to back to back to back to back to back to back to back to back to back.

March 4th (Stubbs Birfday)
w/ O Pioneers!!!, Botox Party, El Zombie
929 W. Grace St. Richmond, The Czar, 23220
Cost: $5

We have another on the 6th I believe...and another on the 16th. I'm not sure of the details yet. We haven't figured out the whole communication thing. I'll update when I know.

Friday, January 23, 2009

Thanks everyone for coming last Friday. That show was incredible. Brainworms, Little Lung, and Ultra Dolphins killed it.

We're no longer playing the 29th. The show got moved to the 22nd of February for those still interested in seeing the other bands, but we won't be playing.

We're due to record a rough demo sometime next week with my buddy Chris. Then we're going to over analyze the shit out of our songs, change them up, and tie up the loose ends, or untie them...whichever will happen. Then we're going to record a demo to distribute and shall have copies to give people when we play our next show (early March).

More music

January 5th at Nara Sushi with This Black Box, Fine Lines, and My Heart to Joy
Starts at 9pm

Although, I do have a feeling that it starts at 10pm as the last one did. I'm not sure of the order yet.

Also, we'll be playing the 29th @ Rumors Boutique w/Tereu Tereu, Sean Walsh & the National Reserve, and the Vermillions. Starts at 8pm. Donations!
